Find some (but of course not all) answers here!
Is it all handmade?
Depends on your definition of handmade! While Jessica is dyeing the yarn herself, any yarn not labelled as handspun is created at a commercial mill. That doesn’t mean it’s not hand made though!
Every skein that we sell has been touched by human hands. From the prep to the dyeing to the twisting and labelling once dry.
Our project bags are handmade. While a sewing machine is used, Jessica chooses the fabric, cuts out the pieces, and assembles the bags herself. With the occasional help from a curious kitty.
Color Differences?
Every effort is made to make our product photos as accurate as possible, but screens differ enough between manufacturers that we cannot guarantee an exact match.
We do our best to make dye lots consistent, but every skein is an individual, and may be more like a sibling rather than a twin of what’s shown. If you want to order a large quantity please reach out to us so that we can work with you to dye a single lot all at once.
One of a kind skeins (aka our dye experiments) will be labelled as OOAK and are not considered repeatable. Please enjoy these unique skeins as the individuals that they are!
Pets
Please know that all of our products come from a home where pets are welcome and loved. There may be the occasional bit of fur that hitches a ride.
If you have allergies and still want to purchase a skein of our yarn, we suggest washing the skein upon delivery so that potential allergens spread less.
Visiting the Dye Studio?
Our dye studio is in our home, so we do not allow visits.
If we ever open a proper, outside-the-home studio space, visitors would be welcome!
